
My Story
Hi, I’m Rachel Braxton, Registered Dietitian & Founder of Braxton Balanced Nutrition
I became a dietitian because I know firsthand how much nutrition can change a life. I struggled with an eating disorder as a high school athlete. Through my own recovery I discovered the power of fueling well and not just for performance, but for health, joy, and confidence. That experience lit a fire in me to help others break free from fear and restriction, and to see food as something that supports their goals rather than holds them back.
I started my career as a clinical RD, first in critical care and then in outpatient counseling, working with patients across all walks of life. Those years taught me the science, skill, and compassion it takes to support lasting change. Now, I bring that same expertise into my counseling, blending nutrition for performance with real-life strategies that fit your lifestyle.
I also know how challenging it can be to prioritize health while juggling a busy life. I’m a mom of two small girls, and I get how overwhelming it can feel. That’s why my approach is simple, supportive, and never intimidating.
